Other Pests to look out for
Wasps
These pests are aggressive, will swarm and sting multiple times. They nest in eaves, walls and ground burrows pose a real risk to families.
When they nest in wall voids, they can chew through drywall. Wasp nests are often found in attic spaces.
Crickets
These pests are a seasonal nuisance that invade garages and homes during the summer time and can be problematic for their noise and fabric damage
They chew fabric, paper, rubber and organic materials. Large infestations damage clothing, upholstered furniture and stored goods.
Pillbugs
Completely harmless to people, pillbugs, also known as Roly-Polies, are actually a sign of excess moisture around your homes foundation.
You can find them in damp soil, under tones, mulch, logs and decaying plant matter. They are generally beneficial decomposers and may occasionally damage seedlings or young tender plants in moist garden areas.
Earwigs
Although intimidating-looking, these pests are largely harmless. They invade damp areas of homes and can damage garden plants.
Often found outdoors, however they can be found in bathrooms, basements and laundry rooms.
Their pincers only produce a minor pinch and are NOT venomous.
Silverfish
Teardrop shaped and covered in silver-gray scales, these stealthy destroyers feed on paper, fabric and food.
They thrive in humid areas and can cause significant damage to books and documents.
They are often found in dark humid areas like bathrooms, kitchens, attics, basements and behind baseboards. They are also not harmful to humans.
